St Peters Primary School take out PSSA All-Schools Hastings region carnival at Port Macquarie | Port Macquarie News

FOLLOWING a washout in term one, primary school students returned to the footy field for the annual All-Schools rugby league carnival on April 29. Saint Peter’s Primary School from Port Macquarie were too strong in the under-12 division, going through undefeated in clashes with teams from Hastings Public School and St Agnes. NRL game development officer Ben Stewart said it was encouraging to see the schools field a number of teams. “It was a good day; a lot of kids were trying rugby league for the first time which was great to see,” he said. “Hopefully they enjoyed the day and will convert into weekend rugby league. We had a washout in term one, so it was great to see them running around.” Saint Peter’s will now go…
